South Africa’s star cricketers lauded Indian batting great Virat Kohli ahead of the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 today.
Kagiso Rabada, South Africa's pacer, praised Kohli in a video shared by Star Sports.
"The guy who keeps doing it over and over again is Kohli, isn't it? He's the best. Well, he wins games for his team. He's the rock,” Rabada said.
Meanwhile, captain Aiden Markram said: "I mean, his record speaks for itself. The ability to keep competing and keep wanting to get better and keep raising the bar, I think, inspires a lot of players."
Additionally, David Miller stated, "I just enjoy his fiery character, his competitiveness, the will to win."
Kohli has not been at his best during the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. He has only scored 75 runs in seven innings with a highest score of 37.
It must be noted that the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 between India and South Africa today in Barbados could be affected by rain.
According to AccuWeather, there is a high chance of rain during the match at the Kensington Oval.
However, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has set aside a reserve day for the final. If the match can’t be completed on Saturday, both the teams will take the field once again on Sunday.
According to ICC's Playing Conditions for the reserve day, "every effort will be made to complete the match on the scheduled day with any necessary reduction in overs taking place and only if the minimum number of overs necessary to constitute a match cannot be bowled on the scheduled day will the match be completed on the reserve day."
The result for the match will only be achieved if a minimum of 10 overs have been completed by each side. The match will resume from the same point, where it stopped due to rain on Saturday, on the reserve day.
