The T20 World Cup 2024 concluded with India lifting the title after beating South Africa by seven runs in one of the most thrilling finals at the Kensington Oval, Barbados, on Saturday.
India joined England and the West Indies to win the T20 World Cup title two times as they won their first in 2007 by beating Pakistan in the final of the inaugural edition.
While this World Cup saw some of the low-scoring thrillers, some spectacular individual performances were also seen across both batting and bowling departments. Since the conditions favoured bowlers the more, the batters found it difficult to play with full control but despite everything, some managed to make way to the tournament’s stats list.
Afghanistan’s wicketkeeper batter, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, ended the tournament as the top-scorer with 281 runs to his name.
