Rafael Nadal has extended his support to fellow Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who faces his old rival Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final, and to the Spain National Football team for the Euro 2024 final against England on Sunday.

Djokovic is attempting to clinch his eighth Wimbledon singles trophy, which would see him equal Roger Federer as the most successful man in the history of SW19.

Nadal, however, is firmly supporting Alcaraz, who triumphed over Djokovic in a blockbuster five-set final at last year’s Championships and is aiming to land a rare Channel Slam after his recent French Open title win.

The duo will compete together for Spain at the upcoming Olympic tennis tournament in Paris – but before that, Alcaraz is seeking his fourth major title.

Nadal has one eye on the All England Club showdown and posted on his Instagram story: ‘Vamosssss [Carlos Alcaraz] & [Spain national football team].’

Nadal and Alcaraz will be hoping Spain’s football team emerge victorious against England in the Euro 2024 final later tonight.

Alcaraz was awkwardly booed after his Wimbledon semi-final win over Daniil Medvedev on Friday for saying that it will be a ‘good day’ for Spanish people.

The 38-year-old is finally approaching the end of his remarkable career, and many fans are eager to see him in action before he decides to retire.

Nadal is not particularly renowned for his skills on grass courts and is better known by his nickname, ‘The King of Clay’.
